The MIRI Bag is worked in slipped stitch pattern, with the purl side used as the right side (RS). Relatively thin needles are used for this project to create more dense, sturdy structure with good shape retention. A firm knitting tension is recommended to achieve the desired gauge, structure and stability.
Bottom is knitted flat, stitches then are picked up along the edges of the bottom, and the body is worked in the round. Each side of the handle is knitted separately and then joined in the middle.
Knit the bag in a vibrant single color, combine your favorite shades for a striped version, blend two colors together for a melange effect, or use up leftover yarn for a unique and colorful combination.
