The GIMI hand warmers are worked in Slipped Stitch (also called Linen Stitch) pattern, back and forth sideways, with the purl side used as the right side (RS). Relatively thin needles are used for this project to create more dense, sturdy structure with good shape retention. A firm knitting tension is recommended to achieve the desired gauge, structure and stability.
Knit the warmers in a vibrant single color, combine your favorite shades for a striped version, or use up leftover yarn for a unique and colorful combination.
A ready-to-use color chart is included in the pattern, so you can plan your own stripes with your favorite colors and widths.
