LEO scarf is fat short chunky fun mohair scarf. It is worked flat, back and forth, in double stockinette stitch. This pattern will provide you four different versions for these color-ways: solid color, stripes in 2 colors, stripes in 3 colors and wide stripes.
SIZE – one size. Length: approx. 100 cm (39.37 in), width – 10 cm (3.94 in)
GAUGE – 24 sts x 40 rows = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) in double stockinette stitch on 6 mm needles after washing and blocking.
In double stockinette stitch, every second stitch and every second row are hidden, inside the fabric as you work. As a result, if you cast on 24 stitches, only 12 stitches will be visible on the surface after a few rows. The same principle applies to the rows.
In my swatch of 24 stitches x 40 rows, when measuring 10 x 10 (4 x 4 in), I count 12 visible stitches and 12 visible rows.
NEEDLES - Circular needles 5 mm (US 8) (80 cm / 32 in) and 6 mm (US 10)(80 cm / 32 in), additional double pointed or any needles smaller than size 5 mm, tapestry needle
